Looking back 259 years to the first public event at the Liberty Tree in Boston on August 14, 1765, many of us find ourselves in a situation similar to what the American colonists faced. We are overpowered by those who wish not only to silence us but to destroy us if we do not confirm their agenda. Locally, conservative writers have been banned from publishing opinions in our newspapers because these opinions challenged the accepted narrative. Letters-to-the-editor favoring our candidates or questioning our opponents routinely have not been published. Local events that threaten to expose the truth are not considered “newsworthy”. People who speak out against the prevalent narrative have found their livelihoods ruined. It is necessary, therefore, to stand up and fight back against this silencing of others. Liberty Tree Maine will be a site where patriots who are dedicated to preserving our life-affirming Constitutional Republic will meet, share ideas, challenge opinions, and work to make people act as a support rather than a cancel culture. Our contributors may write under a pseudonym as did our Founding Fathers so that it is their ideas, opinions, and policies that will be challenged, not their persons. If you would like to submit an article, please send it to libertytreemaine@gmail.com.
We hope that you will find this site informative and helpful in understanding the issues we face in these divisive times.
